CUIP in the Schools
M.S. Computer Science
Mitch has been CUIP in the School’s Technology Coordinator since almost the inception of the program in 1996. He collaborates, supports, and trains the Technology Coordinators of the CUIP schools in developing and maintaining their schools' networks and systems. He also trains and coaches University of Chicago students from the Neighborhood Schools Program, so that they can support schools' technical and classroom integration needs. Recently Mitch has enjoyed working along with other members of a CUIP team on aspects of SOAR (the CPS Department of Libraries and Information Services’ city-wide library automation), interacting with librarians and their collections at a wide range of schools all around CPS. Along with degrees in English and Computer Science, he holds several industry certifications from CompTIA and Microsoft, including A+, Network+, Linux+, and MCSA.
