Christie has been with CUIP since 1997, first as a Technology Resource Advisor and as the Assistant Director of the eCUIP Digital Library Project since 1999.  Her work with the digital library project focuses on merging the scholarship of the University with the instructional practices of the Chicago Public Schools' (CPS) libraries to create online collections that support CPS curricula and student inquiry.  In recent years her work has focused on the development of STEM resources that use oral histories collected from practicing scientists and astronomical imagery and data to engage students in the story of Multiwavelength Astronomy. In addition to this work, Christie also consults for CPS as manager for the district's Integrated Library System.
